I've been involved with stuff here lately. And don't worry, I have a lot of retro games planned. Infact, thats probably all I'll be doing, seeing as how my current rig is not a "gaming" rig. It was back in its time, but alas, that time is no more... More level's will be up tomorrow :). Next two or three games are probably going to be Rocket Knight Adventures, Taz-Manian Devil, and Asterix. In what order? I have no clue. *if your wondering what emulators my PC can handle perfectly. All the way up to ePSXe with maxed out settings at maxed out resolution. at 60 FPS =D)

Yessir I do indeed mean that amazing game series... Um... Anyway, I got mine safely from the below link... it is and always has been a DOS favoring series until the fifth installment which seemed to run best on Windows 98. DOS-Box is highly recommended if you attempt to play any of these on a computer newer than 15 years old. I acknowledge and respect that you are a very tech-Savvy guy, but let me know if you need help getting these to run... John is actually very good with these older games as well, undoubtedly better than me.

Nos, Ox doesn't like piracy mate. A bit o' advice there for yah. I'd edit the link out if I were you. I'll see what I can do for you though :). I have DOS box, and know how to use it*Very well, might I add. Yeah, I said that for bragging rights :p*. I'll put this on the backburner until I reinstall XP. not enough space for it right now. *I mean that too. 1.8 Gigs of free space. Wiping both 7 and xp off the HD soon, and just sticking with XP.* If you have MSN, Add me at Ntacman@live.com. We can discuss stuff related to it there :P.

Also, Dosbox was how I got to experiment with Windows 3.1 ;).

I know quite well that neither Brandon, nor John like piracy... But last time I bought three of these classics for $180 I got screwed... Sierra is dead -- gone -- I understand the moral value is low, but if piracy is the only way to keep this series from becoming dust in the wind I think it increases the justice of it.

Oh and I don't know if I even mentioned it, but cool video... and a cool game it's centered around... a bit simple of a game for my taste, but it's cute.

So, about QfG. Mind giving a bit of background info? And more importantly, it seems its open ended. Did you want me to go through, no side quests? or certain quests you want? Etc. Just drop a few pointers on what you want :).

Well... here's the neat thing, all of those games are set in a completely different place. the idea was for there to be only 4 games... each one representing a cardinal direction and season... I know 4 was the favorite of many fans... set in a land called mordavia, rich in gothic themes and darkness... Literally, the game was named shadows of darkness. I can't remember much of how to progress in those games... some of them were designed so well that one could do nearly anything imaginable in some of the areas.

I know the first game was a neat theme... I believe it was mostly Slavic in theme and involved Baba Yaga. [the equivalent of the witch from Hansel&Gretel]

They are quite open-ended, I suppose this is their upside as well as their flaw... Walkthroughs for each game are abundant across the net, but I shouldn't expect you to be so interested as to read one of those... Also, number 5 was Grecian themed, and while it was one of my favorite installments of the series many fans said that it lacked there sheer non-linearity of the other games.

Sierra Online Games is owned by Activision-Blizzard. You can get the games through them.

Can this be true? I feel bad now, trying to put justice into piracy... I'll make sure if I ever get the games again i'll buy the actual copies.
